My biggest blunder yet
Disclaimer: Okay, maybe it's not my BIGGEST blunder—but outside of general life stuff like choosing careers and universities, this absolutely takes the cake.
Three days ago, I bought a United Airlines ticket to Texas for August 12, assuming that my college move-in would be on August 15 because THAT'S WHAT IT SAID ON THE FRIGGING WEBSITE. Only to receive an email from the housing department today morning stating that it's August 8 for me because I'm an international student.
That's not listed anywhere on my university's website! I looked it up again after I read the email, and it just says August 15 for incoming freshmen!
I'm flying from literally the other side of the world! The ticket cost more than $1300 USD! Non-refundable! Arghhhh!
I'm currently waiting for my university's response to my email asking if it would be possible for me to move in on the date I had planned for. Meanwhile I've had to cancel my rental car booking, and tell my friend who I've made plans with to be on standby...thank goodness she hasn't bought her plane tickets yet, and the AirBnB is refundable.
